CTS AWARDED JAXPORT TWIC PROJECT

Compass Tech Systems, Inc. was awarded the TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Access Control Upgrade for APM Terminals at the JAXPORT Blount Island Marine Terminal. The project will cover the Pre-Gates, Interchange Gates, Facility and integrate with the existing Terminal Operating System software. The award was based on a point system and won based on the TWIC expertise of the Compass Tech System staff.
This will be the first TWIC system installed at JAXPORT and will run on an AMAG access control platform. The system will integrate and update automatically with the government blacklist to prevent unauthorized drivers and personnel from entering the facility. The read stations will be a combination of TWIC card and biometric verification, insuring the card being presented belongs to the card holder.
This is an exciting, leading edge technology project that will not only increase the security of APM Terminals, but increase the speed in which vehicles can enter and exit the facility. This will be accomplished with the AMAG system communicating with the current APM Terminal software to cut down on authentication time.  Compass Tech Systems is proud to be a part of protecting our nation’s ports and honored to be entrusted with the APM Terminals project!
